Varicella-zoster virus (VZV) is one of eight herpes viruses known to infect humans and is also known as chickenpox virus, varicella virus, zoster virus, and human herpesvirus type 3 (HHV-3). Two new VZV antigens—one a standard VZV antigen and the other a VZV glycoprotein antigen—have been expressly designed for use as integral components within solid-phase enzyme immunoassay test procedures. These two antigens meet the needs of biopharmaceutical, clinical, drug-discovery, and life science researchers, as well as manufacturers of IVD test kits. Both VZV antigens exhibit exceptional purity levels as a result of chromatography techniques. They both also feature an outstanding shelf life stability claim of 10 years from the date of manufacture and are offered in a standard sized 1.0-mg-filled vial, with larger, bulk configurations also being available.
