VisionSort is a microfluidics-based hybrid flow cytometer capable of performing standard fluorescence-based cell analysis and sorting found in a traditional cytometer. According to ThinkCyte, VisionSort adds a new label-free, morphological profiling mode driven by advanced optics and artificial intelligence. Powered by Ghost Cytometry technology, which uses light absorption and scattering to assess cell morphology in four different dimensions, the platform assesses cellular features like size, granularity, subcellular structure density, and extracellular structures. It generates a “cellular fingerprint,” processed by AI algorithms directly embedded in the instrument to provide the unique morphological profile of single cells.
