It’s never too late to learn something new, especially new professional skills. If you’re looking for some professional development or an easy way to improve skills away from the bench, check out the Udemy app. Like other education websites, Udemy provides a broad catalog of courses that users can peruse through and sign up for. However, unlike other education websites, Udemy focuses mostly on workplace skills like coding, design, and productivity. Although some of these skills don’t translate directly to the bench, they can be immensely helpful with streamlining your experiments, designing posters, and putting together grants. One caveat is that although the app is free to use, each course costs anywhere from $10 to $40, although you do get lifetime access for each course you purchase. Despite the price, Udemy is still worth checking out to see if any of their courses catch your eye.
