Hyper-Long Telomeres Give Non-Genetically Modified Mice Longer, Healthier Lives

Scientists at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) generated the first non-genetically engineered mice that have super-long telomeres in every one of their body cells. Studies with the animals showed that in comparison with mice that have normal length telomeres, the hyper-long telomere animals lived significantly longer, were leaner, and had better metabolic health.
