In celebration of DNA Day, 23andMe commissioned a survey revealing that the majority of Americans have an interest in learning more about themselves by exploring their DNA, but many do not fully understand the fundamentals of genetics nor how their DNA functions. In particular, the survey—which involved 1,067 adults among a stratified random sample representative of the U.S. population—showed that 80% of respondents were unaware all humans share 99.5% of their DNA. (Find out more about the survey here.) So, how much do you know about your DNA?
