Cancer vs. Zika: What Worries You Most?

While Zika remains a hot topic in the news, a new survey by the Mayo Clinic reveals that Americans believe the country’s most significant healthcare challenge is cancer. The survey findings report “infectious diseases, such as Zika and Ebola,” are tied with HIV/AIDS as the least important healthcare challenges listed by respondents following cancer; obesity; neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; diabetes and heart disease.

While Zika continues to garner a lot of news coverage, a Mayo Clinic survey reveals that Americans believe the country’s most significant healthcare challenge is cancer. Compared to other diseases, does the possibility of developing cancer worry you the most?
