Summary:

The Touch Surgery app is a very neat educational app for medical students and physicians (as well as anyone who has a curiosity about surgical procedures). The app allows healthcare professionals to practice their surgical skills through a number of interactive, animated modules. Each surgical procedure is divided into a number of smaller modules such as patient preparation versus the surgical procedure itself. The modules, which are authored by physicians, are divided into learn and test sections. The learn portion walks app users through the correct order of operations, while the test portion prompts users for each step and calculates a score based on the user’s performance. Individual modules are downloaded to the device when a user wishes. Users can mark individual modules as “favorites” within the app for easy access.
