The Sanger Sequencing app by Thermo Fisher Scientific provides useful information to scientists performing the relevant techniques. Upon opening the app, users are prompted to register by providing demographic information and indicating the scientific applications of interest. Within the app, users have offline access to the DNA Sequencing by Capillary Electrophoresis handbook, which consists of eight chapters that span the basics of DNA sequencing—including experimental methods and analysis. The app also contains some relevant calculators for things like primer concentration, oligonucleotide molecular weight, and optimal centrifuge speed. With an internet connection, users have access to some additional experimental application notes (such as using Sanger sequencing in conjunction with CRISPR-mediated genome editing) within the app.
