Rating:
Strong Points: Some intersting reading
Weak Points: Too unfocused

Summary:
The dot ‘ca’ in the title tells us that it is a Canadian site, but the ‘Science’ part is a bit ambiguous. It needn’t be. Billing itself as the “Best source for Canadian science”, Science.ca is a sort of billboard for all that is science in the great nation up north. Yes, that is a lot to expect of a site, and, to be honest, is more than can reasonably be delivered. Features, such as Ask a Scientist, cater to non–scientific audiences, so perhaps the aim here is to encourage young Canadians to pursue scientific careers. I can’t argue with that, but I think a site like this one has more potential than it realizes. Narrowing the focus should do the trick.
