Rating:
Strong Points: Quality of images
Weak Points: May be a bit too narrow
Summary:
Here’s a cool idea—a CD formatted (at least partly) to fit on a Website so users can see if they want to buy it or not. From what I’ve seen, I think a lot of viewers will go for the CD. What it contains are images, movies, and other information about plant cell biology. At the Website, users can view reduced size/resolution images and still images of movies contained on the CD. Information is organized in chapters and they cover mitochondria, plastids, chloroplasts, and peroxisomes. The quality of the pictures on the Web is great, so I imagine the CD will be even better. I’m not completely sure who the intended audience is for this but I could imagine it would be of use in a basic botany or biology class.
