Summary:
Organized as one of the more interesting lab pages I’ve seen, Oncogenomics Lab is a site focused on the efforts of Dr. Javed Khan’s laboratory in the Center for Cancer Research at the National Cancer Institute. With an emphasis on pediatric oncology, the lab aims to identify gene specific expression in pediatric malignancies and to determine/characterize therapeutic agents. What distinguishes this site from others is its tidy organization (hyperlinks to published papers in a panel on the right) and its productivity. Visitors can log into and access information in a Normal Tissue Database of 158 normal human samples, 18927 unique genes, and 42,000 cDNA microarrays. That however, is only one of the highlights at this well thought out site.
