Transfection Reagent

The ViaFect Transfection Reagent is a tool for DNA transfer into cell lines—including suspension cells and stem cell-derived lines. For example, ViaFect has been reported to achieve robust transfection with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cell models, such as Cellular Dynamics International’s iCell Cardiomyocytes. Designed for low toxicity, ViaFect can allow cells to stay healthy and metabolically active during transfection-based experiments, even at low cell densities. ViaFect requires minimal optimization with a simple three-step protocol. It does not require removal of serum, removal of culture medium, or washing after introduction of the reagent/DNA complex. ViaFect contains no animal-derived components.

Secure Science

Should bans on science education, of the sort imposed on Iranians hoping to study physics and engineering in the United States, encompass other nationals and other fields of study, including biotechnology?
