Desktop Sequencing System

The NextSeq 500 system is designed to combine the power of a high-throughput sequencer with the simplicity of a desktop sequencer. Its push-button operation can deliver one-day turnaround for a number of sequencing applications, including one whole human genome and up to 16 exomes, up to 20 noninvasive prenatal testing samples, up to 20 transcriptomes, up to 48 gene expression samples, and up to 96 targeted panels. (Users can also switch to lower throughput sequencing.) Sequencing data can be run through open source or commercial pipelines, or transferred, analyzed, and stored in BaseSpace® or BaseSpace® OnSite if an on-premises solution is needed.
