Bioluminescent H2O2 Assay

The ROS-Glo™ H2O2 Assay is a homogenous, nonhorseradish peroxidase-dependent, plate-based bioluminescent assay that measures the level of H2O2 directly in cell culture or in defined enzyme reactions. A derivatized luciferin substrate is incubated with the sample and reacts directly with H2O2 to generate a luciferin precursor. Addition of a detection solution converts the precursor to luciferin and provides a recombinant luciferase to produce a light signal that is proportional to the level of H2O2. The assay, which is performed following a two-reagent-addition protocol and does not require sample manipulation, can be completed in less than two hours after reagent addition.
