Summary:

Here is an app for people who love chemical reactions. Providing access to the ChemReact database, which contains over 400,000 chemical reactions, the SPRESImobile app allows users to explore the wonders of chemical transformation via a well-designed user interface. Users can search the database in one of three ways: by compound name, by compound structure (a structure-drawing tool is included in the app), or by reaction (in which one inputs a reactant and a product). From the molecule search, for example, users are given names and synonyms for their inputted compound, a list of journal articles, basic chemical information, and the option to search for chemical reactions that include that compound as either the reactant or product. The reactions search results provide graphic depictions of each of the complete reactions, along with the relevant journal citations. Conveniently, the graphic depiction and citation can be sent as an email.
