Strong Points: Miscellaneous tidbits
Weak Points: Not very broad

Summary:
I’m always a little hesitant about reviewing pages for professional societies because most of them are pretty boring. This one too, has its less-than-scintillating moments (committee listings, bylaws, etc.), but I guess those are excusable if they are serving the membership. What brings the Society for In Vitro Biology’s site into focus here are the elements of it that serve a much broader audience. There are several of these, including a well-written paper on terminology associated with tissue culture, a listing of job postings, a book/movie shelf for sale/rent, and a few useful links. It’s not going to win any prizes for breadth (which is a shame, given the topic), but the site is at least worth a look-see.
