Turning the Corner in the War on Cancer

When President Richard Nixon signed the National Cancer Act in December 1971, many mistakenly thought this declaration of war on cancer would lead to a cure in a decade or so. Now with the use of gene sequencing and other tools of molecular biology optimism is again on the rise regarding the treatment of this deadly disease. (For more on this, check out this article.)
