The Impact of the Financial Downfall on Biotech

The severe recession that has impacted the global business community over the past year is affecting the biotech industry worldwide as well. While funding has always been the number one financial consideration for life science companies, some biotech observers believe that the length and depth of this particular recession is going to change the very structure of the bioindustry. What do you view as the most likely scenario for biotech?
