PCR Techniques

PCR allows researchers to take a slice of DNA and amplify it as many times as they wish for further research and analysis. As such, many consider PCR nearly essential for molecular biology research, and new applications and technologies are leading to better, more sensitive PCR techniques. Forms of PCR that are frequently used include real-time PCR (qPCR), reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR), and digital PCR. Which do you use most often in your research?

Which type of PCR do you use most often?

Real-time PCR (qPCR)
Reverse-transcription PCR (RT-PCR)
