Summary:

The Neuro Primer app provides case studies related to seven different neurological conditions, ranging from cognitive disorders to comas. Each case study is broken down into several parts, with each part containing several questions for the user that are related to the details of each case study. The case study questions are mainly geared toward medical professionals, and are typically related to potential causes of symptoms or logical diagnostic steps. Case studies can be viewed in full, or as flashcards. The app is not formatted well, and can be difficult to navigate. Additionally, while the app was written by a “well respected neurologist,” no attribution is given and no citations are provided for the answers to the case study questions. Neuro Primer is not ideal for people looking for an overview of neurological conditions, but it would be helpful for medical students as an additional study resource.
