Summary:

You probably don’t think about blood coagulation on a regular basis, but the fact of the matter is that this biological phenomenon is incredibly important to your health. (Just think what would happen if you couldn’t stop bleeding after each time you cut yourself shaving!) The iHemostasis app by the Stago pharmaceutical laboratory is a useful medical education app that highlights key concepts in the hemostasis field. The app is divided into four sections. Within the coagulation cascade section, users can explore five animations that illustrate key pathways. Each animation is accompanied by text. Within the quick guide and special focus sections of the app, users will find text descriptions of specific topics within the field, such as anticoagulant therapy monitoring and thrombophilia. Finally, the clinical cases section of the app provides—you guessed it—clinical cases with accompanying questions to test one’s comprehension.
