The people at Nature Publishing Group are very clever. What better way to attract literature-obsessed scientists to your website than to call the site “citable”? Scitable is a free science library that is loosely organized around seven topics: genetics, cell biology, ecology, scientific communication, career planning, blogs, and spotlights (which focuses on key topics in science). Under each heading, there are a number of resources available, such as eBooks that introduce each topic and free access to a number of scientific articles that provide an overview of key concepts. There is an opportunity to join discussions and ask experts questions, and visitors to the site can also contribute their own content. The website is beautifully organized, and there are valuable resources for scientists at all stages of training.
