Summary:

Who knew that nuclear hormone receptors could be so fun (or colorful)? There is plenty of information to explore on this relatively new online resource, edited by a professor at Penn State University. The site is beautifully organized and easy to navigate. If you have no idea what a nuclear hormone receptor is (sometimes called NR–don’t ask me why the “H” wasn’t considered worthy enough to be included in the acronym), then the “Gen-eral Information” page is definitely the place to start. Here you’ll find colorful diagrams and clear descriptions to bring you up to speed. On the other hand, if you don’t need NR training wheels, then skip right to the tissue expression profiles and pathway diagrams. You can also keep up to date with the latest NR news by accessing the website’s newsletter (two issues out so far).
