Strong Points: Nicely organized, lots of information
Weak Points: Science news articles simply link to external sites

Summary:

The website for the nonprofit National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent) contains a great deal of information related to the Center’s mission to promote interdisciplinary research on evolution. The site is organized into three sections: science, informatics, and education and outreach. From the science section, site visitors can review the titles and abstracts of projects that have been funded by NESCent, as well as read about (and apply to) current calls for proposals. Within the informatics section of the site, one can learn about the Center’s major initiatives in the area, as well as access free software and databases resulting from NESCent-funded research. Finally, the education and outreach section contains resources for educators—such as curriculum resources—as well as information about various NESCent outreach efforts.
