National Postdoctoral Association

www.nationalpostdoc.org
  • Large collection of links, resources for scientists at all stages of their careers
  • None

It falls between the trial-by-fire period of graduate school and the (hopefully reachable) light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel dream job. Yes, that’s right—it’s the postdoctoral position. Fearing the dreaded possibility of being stuck in postdoc limbo, researchers at this stage of their career often don’t have access to (or don’t know where to go to find) resources related to career development. For those misguided or confused postdocs out there, the website for the National Postdoctoral Association is a great place to begin. Chock full of career-planning resources, information about institutional career-development resources, and links to a number of other websites (and all this is accessible to nonmembers!), the National Postdoctoral Association is a wonderful online career development resource for scientists. And the best part? There are special sections devoted to graduate students and faculty/administrators as well, so this website can accompany you throughout your career.
